Job Title: Quality Technician (Level I)
Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Reports to: Quality Manager
Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday – Thursday 6am – 4:30pm)
SUMMARY
The Level I Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring quality production is produced in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. Test and inspect products at different stages during the production process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Functions
- Follow quality processes and procedures for inspecting and auditing production.
- Familiar with all measurement tools used in the quality department.
- Communicate effectively with production and quality team.
- Efficiently read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong ability to correctly perform simple and complex mathematical scenarios.
- Able and willing to routinely lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Improve and maintain housekeeping in quality dept. – 5S Audits.
- Keep product flowing through quality – nothing sitting around.
- Assist in sustaining quality goals and objectives.
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
- Willing to promote and stand by the company’s purpose statement and core values.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- Experience dealing with team members of all levels.
- Experience in manufacturing environment required.
