Job Title: Quality Technician I — Metal Fabrication

Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Quality Manager

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3am

Shift Premium: Additional $1.50 for each hour worked on 2nd shift

SUMMARY

The Quality Technician I is responsible for ensuring that all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This role supports the inspection and testing of materials and products throughout various stages of the production process to maintain consistent quality and efficiency. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Follow established quality processes and procedures to inspect and audit production.
  • Perform inspections of products at various stages to verify compliance with specifications and standards. 
  • Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. 
  • Apply a strong understanding of form, fit, and function when evaluating parts and assemblies. 
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency with measurement tools and equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments. 
  • Perform basic and complex mathematical calculations related to measurement and inspection. 
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Maintain product flow through the quality process to prevent delays or bottlenecks. 
  • Assist in achieving and sustaining quality goals and objectives. 
  • Communicate effectively with production team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve issues and ensure product quality.

Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Classification: Hourly/nonexempt

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Work Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm OR  2nd Shift — Monday-Thursday, 4:30pm-3am

SUMMARY

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating CNC press brake machines to form, shape, and bend metal parts that meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Operators are expected to monitor production runs, inspect parts, and maintain productivity goals. Operators may also perform basic machine setups as skill level and training allow, supporting cross-training and operational flexibility. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Operate CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently. 
  • Monitor machine performance during production runs and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality. 
  • Maintain acceptable production output while minimizing scrap. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions. 
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, angle gauges, and tape measures. 
  • Inspect parts during production to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances. 
  • Report defects or nonconforming parts to supervisor or lead. 
  • Assist with tooling changes and job setup procedures. 
  • Learn to select appropriate tooling and adjust machine parameters. 
  • Perform basic setups independently as training and experience progress. 
  • Support quick changeovers and continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Build and assemble vent units, including frames, doors, and internal components.

SUMMARY

The CNC Punch Tooling Specialist ensures the smooth, efficient, and precise operation of Trumpf CNC punch machines by building, maintaining, and managing tooling resources. This role directly impacts production quality, minimizes downtime, and supports the overall productivity of the 1st Ops department. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Build, sharpen, and maintain CNC punch tooling to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Prepare tooling according to the Dispatch List sequence as issued by scheduling. 
  • Organize, inventory, and request replacement tooling as needed. 
  • Maintain CNC punch schedule for all shifts and prepare tooling in advance for all scheduled jobs to minimize machine downtime. 
  • Ensure all tooling is maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety requirements. 
  • Follow all OSHA, company safety, and equipment maintenance procedures. 
  • Familiar with varying types of sheet metal (aluminum, galvanized, galvanneal, stainless, etc.). 

Secondary Functions

  • Assist maintenance and machine operators with troubleshooting machinery issues when needed.  
  • Assist with sheet stock consolidation and maintain organization of sheet stock drops. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately. 
  • Support quality inspection processes as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CNC operations (Trumpf experience preferred). 
  • Prior manufacturing environment experience required. 
  • Proficient in precision measuring equipment and basic quality inspection methods. 
  • Knowledge of sheet metals including aluminum, galvanized, galvanneal, and stainless steel.

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling small and large components and finished products according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and work orders. This role requires the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety. The technician works both independently and collaboratively to support efficient production and on-time delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  •  Assemble small and large parts and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.

SUMMARY

The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on the floor, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met. This role serves as the first line of leadership, providing hands-on guidance, training, and support to production employees while driving continuous improvement and accountability. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Lead and support a team of production employees to meet daily output, quality, and efficiency goals. 
  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and production schedules to ensure on-time completion of orders. 
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures; actively promote a safety-first culture. 
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on processes, equipment, and standard work, including onboarding of new hires. 
  • Perform in-process quality checks and ensure adherence to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.

Job Title: Paint Inspection & Packaging Technician

SUMMARY

The Paint Inspection & Packaging Technician is responsible for performing final visual inspections of painted parts to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. This position verifies part quantities, processes completed work through the ERP system, approves acceptable parts for shipment, and packages finished products to ensure safe delivery to customers. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Perform final visual inspections of painted parts for appearance, finish quality, and workmanship. 
  • Verify parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Identify and separate nonconforming parts and notify the appropriate personnel of quality concerns. 
  • Count finished parts to verify production quantities and customer order requirements. 
  • Process completed jobs through the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Approve acceptable parts for release to the Shipping Department. 
  • Package finished products according to customer specifications and company packaging standards. 
  • Label packages and prepare parts for shipment. 
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records. 
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist with inventory counts as needed.  
  • Help organize completed orders awaiting shipment. 
  • Cross-train in other paint department functions to provide operational flexibility.

The Powder Coating Technician / Painter is responsible for applying high-quality powder coating finishes to manufactured parts while maintaining production schedules and customer quality standards. This position operates powder coating equipment, performs color changes, monitors coating quality, and ensures finished products meet appearance, coverage, and durability requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Apply powder coating to metal parts using electrostatic spray equipment while maintaining required film thickness and finish quality.
  • Inspect parts prior to coating to ensure surfaces are clean, properly prepared, and ready for processing.
  • Maintain consistent production flow and work pace to support paint line efficiency and production goals.
  • Perform color changes according to established procedures, ensuring proper cleaning and minimizing contamination between colors.
  • Monitor coating application to ensure complete coverage, proper adhesion, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections of coated parts and identify defects such as orange peel, thin coverage, excessive build, contamination, fisheyes, or missed areas.
  • Communicate quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays to supervisors and team members promptly.
  • Assist with hanging, unloading, packaging, and handling parts as needed to support production requirements.
  • Maintain powder coating equipment, spray guns, hoppers, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Support inventory control by properly handling and storing powder materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to powder coating operations, compressed air systems, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the powder coating booth, reclaim system, and surrounding work areas.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of press brake operations, blueprint reading, and automated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to maintaining productivity and quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Set up and operate Trumpf robotic press brake machines.
  • Load, monitor, and unload parts during robotic bending operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders accurately.
  • Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.).
  • Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor program or tooling adjustments as needed.

The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Trumpf CNC laser equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth production flow, precision, and safety on the shop floor. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Set up and operate Trumpf CNC punch machines according to production schedules. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part fabrication.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on punch equipment. 
  • Use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tapes, gauges) to verify part quality. 
  • Build punch tooling for jobs as needed. 
  • Safely unload and handle parts after cutting operations. 
  • Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials. 
  • Maintain productivity standards while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Follow all OSHA, company safety, and equipment maintenance procedures.

Job Title: Entry-Level Manufacturing

Classification: Hourly/nonexempt

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

SUMMARY

The Entry Level Manufacturing position provides an opportunity to begin a career in manufacturing and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. Team members may rotate through a variety of basic operations, including simple assembly, paint line support, and unloading or handling material from laser machines. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

  • Perform basic manufacturing tasks such as simple assembly, paint line operations, and material handling. 
  • Assist with unloading parts from laser machines and moving materials to designated areas. 
  • Safely operate basic hand tools and equipment as instructed. 
  • Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and production requirements. 
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations. 
  • Support housekeeping efforts to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. 
  • Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture. 
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and reliable attendance. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs. 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality. 
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, and in a floating/utility capacity as needed. 
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.
