Our History
Sargent Metal was founded in Anderson, South Carolina in 1975 by J.D. and Donnie Sargent. With very little equipment, the father and son team worked hard to support local textile mills by providing machinery guarding and HVAC ductwork. It was a humble beginning, but they had a lofty goal: to become one of the best fabricators in the Southeast.
Our founders quickly learned that success would require ultimate flexibility, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, investment in high-quality equipment and technology, and, above all else, superior customer service. The pair strategically added new machinery over the years to expand their capabilities and adapt to emerging industry needs.
