Sargent Metal is pleased to announce the addition of a new Haeger 824 4E Hardware Insertion Machine in March. The new tooling design and auto feed system will help increase speed and quality of hardware insertion for many of the products we produce. This addition reflects our continued commitment to automation and new technology to better service our customers and their needs.

New MAS 350 — Modular Auto Feed System with Quick Mount tooling. Makes tool changeover quicker and easier.
No more Manual bowl setting. The new software now auto sets bowl vibration and air eject time for failure free fastener insertion.
Larger Capacity Bowl design increases fastener range from M1.5 to M10mm with a maximum length of 40mm and all in the same bowl.
New MAS 350 is mounted lower for easier access.
New drive system on the MAS 350 allows for a totally new designed Quick Mount tooling for faster tool change.
4-Bowl auto feeding with bowl feed consistency and range.
Reduces changeover time up to 95% from 3 minutes to 10 seconds.
Outside mounting on the MAS for easier operator access and fastener set up.

Here we grow again! Sargent Metal is excited to announce the purchase and installation of our new Amada EM3610K punching cell. Our new machine incorporates the latest in Amada punching technology in a fully automated environment.

Robovent Filtration System Installed

Sargent Metal is excited to announce the installation of our new Robovent Fume Extraction System. The system was installed in our welding and laser cutting area. Both manual and robotic welders, as well as our laser cutting systems, are all connected together to allow Automated Fume Extraction. The system captures the smoke, filters it and returns the clean air back into our plant. The automated system has automated pulsing of filters, as well as Spark Arrestance for auto system shutdown when a spark is detected. This system is a welcome addition to the Sargent family.

Collaborative Training Effort

In these financially stressful times, businesses are having to cut all kinds of costs and limit the money that is being spent on services in order to avoid laying off workers. One of the services that for some reason companies deem to be unimportant and not engage in is the training and development of it’s leadership. However, a group of companies, led by Sargent Metal Fabricators, in the Anderson, SC area have found a way to still provide leaders with the development they need to keep productivity levels high, and not have to pay a large amount to do so. They have simply joined forces and will be sharing the cost of a training program, which will allow the cost to be affordable for any size business.

The collaborative programs’s facilitator, Maximum Potential Training, has put together a 12-session program that addresses key skills that anyone in a leadership role, or looking to get into a leadership role, must have in order to be highly successful. The program is set to include sessions on communication, time management, conflict and change management, motivation and diversity.

The current participants welcome other organizations located in the area that would like to take advantage of this unique opportunity. If you company is interested, please contact MaxPT at 864-855-5455.

The program is set to begin on October 20th, with classes being held at 3040 West Standridge Road in Anderson, however interested companies can join in at any time.
